Communion Mother’s Day Brunch Recap

Communion Seattle was closed for Dinner on Mother's Day and hosted a Mother's Day Brunch instead

“Home” is what the rug says when you step into the now world-famous Communion Seattle Restaurant. And I most certainly felt at home as I took my wife and mother out for an amazing Mother’s Day Brunch this past Sunday. The special event was well attended, with tables full and folks enjoying their families, and I was glad that I made advance reservations (for once). Co-owner Damon Bomar also seemed relieved when we walked up, and I told him that I had a reservation and that I was not just trying to use my “Kun” card. lol

With the weather being amazing, I was happy when my momma chose to sit outside on the patio in the sun’s full heat. We ordered mimosas and took in the latest version of the Communion “Can’t-Miss” Menu. They both decided to have the Bread Pudding French Toast and chose the Seared Shrimp & Cajun Chicken Sausage Gravy over Biscuits with a side of the. We also ordered the Shrimp Toast and the Fruit Salad.

There is Nothing New to report here. The Food was amazing! Right… go figure. I would say that the portions were just right as well. It was enough to fill you up, and what was left was not worth a to-go box (for me). Now that I am living a healthy lifestyle, the real flex is to be able to eat until you are full and then walk away. There is no scarcity mindset.

So, If you are one of the few people who has not eaten at Communion, go ahead and put it on your schedule. I know that some people were initially turned away by waiting so long for a reservation, which can still happen. Just remember that the bar is always for Walk Up’s, and there is often a table saved for walk-ups. If all else fails, just ask for Damon or Kristi and tell them that you are here with KUN and he is on his way; just seat us now. LOL, no, do NOT do that… but do go!

Here is the promotion they ran:

Celebrate Mother’s Day with a delightful brunch at Communion, and express your love and gratitude by spending quality time with your mom with us! #communionseattle #mothersday #notastelikehome#seattlebrunch
