“It’s really the first time that I’ve been able to fully express myself and who I am through my music,” Porter said in a press release. “Through my mainstream pop music space. It’s like my magnum opus. It’s everything to me. You’ll really get a glimpse into who I am even deeper with this music.”
Accompanied by a full band, mesmerizing light effects, and captivating video elements, Billy Porter is set to take his audience on a 90-minute journey where he will narrate his life story through music. The multi-talented artist will perform his classic hits like “Love Is on the Way” and “Love Yourself,” in addition to some fan-favorite Broadway numbers and a tribute to “Pose,” the trailblazing LGBTQ+ series that catapulted him to stardom in recent years.
Alongside the tour announcement, Porter revealed that he will be releasing a new single, “Baby Was a Dancer,” on March 24th, as a preview of his upcoming album “Black Mona Lisa.”
